WCP Staff & Board
WCP is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Chief Executive Officer who works closely with the Chair and Board. All Board members have extensive experience of business and the care sector and are committed to the establishment of a comprehensive and effective collective voice for independent care providers.
Jo Howes Chief Executive Officer
Jo became Chief Executive Officer of Wiltshire Care Partnership on 1st January 2016, having originally joined in December 2014 to take up the newly created post of Operational Development Lead. She has extensive experience of working in both the voluntary and statutory sectors. Jo was previously Head of Community Engagement for NHS Wiltshire, and Health Overview and Scrutiny Officer for Wiltshire Council, so she has lots of relevant and helpful knowledge and experience to bring to WCP’s development.
Tracy Nash Office Manager
Tracy is an experienced and highly motivated Office Manager who spent over eleven years at an IT Software Solutions Company where she was responsible for overseeing the efficient running of all administrative, HR and finance functions within a busy office environment. Tracy joined the Wiltshire Care Partnership in May 2014 (two days per week) to take on the new role of Office Manager and to support the development of the Partnership.
Lesley Hilton Operational Development Lead
Lesley joined us in February 2016 having spent the last 4 years commissioning services for vulnerable children and families in Leicestershire. She has experience of developing reporting and evaluation frameworks together with supporting services to develop best practice and quality procedures. Lesley has worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors, including 7 years of operational management delivering a range of services. She has led on Ofsted inspections and been part of a national working group to develop quality procedures.
Matthew Airey Chair (Elected)
Matthew has worked within social and health care services for over thirty years, ten of which were in senior management roles within social services. He was responsible for delivering services to children and families in need of support, care and protection in Wiltshire and Hampshire. Matthew became the Managing Director of Wessex Care upon its creation in July 2001 and is currently the Wiltshire & Swindon regional chair and a national Director of the Registered Nursing Home Association (RNHA).
Dan Hayes Vice-chair (Elected)
Dan is the Operations Director for the Orders of St. John Care Trust (OSJCT). He has day-to-day responsibility for seventy Care Homes and five Extra Care Housing Schemes across the country. Dan joined OSJCT in 2003, and prior to that he had a background in Human Resources Management in both the NHS and University Sector. Prior to becoming the Operations Director for the Trust, Dan was the County Director for Oxfordshire. Since taking responsibility for Wiltshire Dan and his team have been working extremely hard to continue to develop services in the county and to develop stronger relationships with other providers and commissioners.
Mark Allworth Treasurer (Elected)
Having spent over twenty years in IT, in 2004 Mark, along with his wife, purchased The Priory Care Home in Chippenham, which is run on their behalf by a wonderful manager. In 2006 they purchased a Nursing Home in Hertfordshire and between them spend many hours in their cars!
Isabel de la Haye Board Member (Elected)
Isabel is the Managing Director of Ashley Grange Nursing Home in Downton in the far South East corner of Wiltshire.
Jan Evans Board Member (Co-opted)
Jan is Mears' Operations Manager in Wiltshire. Mears is one of Wiltshire’s four Help to Live at home (HTLAH) providers and is a member of WCP. HTLAH providers in membership of WCP are offered a single co-opted place on the WCP Board on an annual rotational basis.
Darren Fowler Board Member (Appointed)
Darren is Chair of Wiltshire Domiciliary Care Providers Association.
Stephen Trowbridge Board Member (Appointed)
Stephen is Chair of the Wiltshire and Swindon Care Skills Partnership and Managing Director of First City Nursing.
Leslie Williams Board Member (Appointed)
Leslie has been the Chair of the Wiltshire Care Homes Association for twelve years and a care home owner in Wiltshire since 1988.
James Cawley Board Member (Representing Wiltshire Council)
James is the Service Director for Commissioning and Strategy at Wiltshire Council with a remit covering Adult Social Care and Housing. He has been in Wiltshire for the last four years. James’s background was in housing, but he managed a joint Social Service and Housing Department for many years in Wales. James is passionate about people having control over their own lives – being able to make meaningful and real choices.
