Coronavirus (Covid-19) Guidance

WCP have compiled links to the latest Coronavirus guidance, we will update this information as the situation evolves:
On 19th March WCP sent a letter to all Wiltshire MPs.
On 27th March Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire CCG issued a joint statement on changes to the discharge process during Covid-19.
Wiltshire Council have set up a dedicated Covid-19 care provider support helpline, providers will be able to seek support between 8am-6pm either by phone or email:

Wiltshire Council are using a bed capacity tracker across Wiltshire for all care providers, register for the Capacity Tracker here and find out more here. The National Care Forum have produced a summary of the Capacity Tracker.

Wiltshire CCG have published Coronavirus advice on their website, which includes links to the information outlined below.
The Coronavirus Bill went through parliament on 23 March and the government have published a Coronavirus Bill Impact Assessment.
Nice have published Critical Care Guidelines to maximise the safety of patients who need critical care.
ROYAL COLLEGE OF NURSING:
The RCN have published updated infection prevention and control guidance.
DISCLOSURE & BARRING SERVICE:
The Disclosure & Barring Service have issued guidance regarding temporary changes to ID checking.
UCheck have a fast track barred list and DBS checks for eligible emergency roles.
DEPARTMENT FOR EDUCATION:
The DfE have issued education guidance including who qualifies as Key Workers.
DEPARTMENT FOR BUSINESS, ENERGY & INDUSTRIAL STRATEGY:
BEIS have issued guidance on the support available for businesses.
Care England have launched a national "Social Care Needs You" campaign with a public letter and campaign poster.
Care England have Covid-19 resources and a letter template for care workers to use as proof of key worker status.
NATIONAL CARE BODIES:
The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Adult Social Care have sent a letter to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care outlining concerns raised by the care sector.
The National Care Association have issued an update on the work they are doing nationally.
The Care Providers Alliance have made coronavirus resources available. The CPA have sent a letter to the supermarkets to get recognition of care workers as key workers.
The National Care Forum have produced a Coronavirus Risk Assessment Template and have coronavirus resources available. On 24th March the NCF issued feedback and concerns from their members.
The RNHA have issued a PPE briefing.
CARE WORKERS CHARITY:
The CWC have launched an emergency Coronavirus Care Workers Fund for self isolating Care Workers who need financial support.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT & SOCIAL CARE OMBUDSMAN:
The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman have confirmed they have suspended all complaint enquiries of care providers.
ROYDS WITHY KING:
RWK have set up a dedicated email for any legal issues firstname.lastname@example.org, please use this email as RWK's offices are now closed.
To help with business continuity plans Hertfordshire Care Providers Association have developed a Business Continuity and Contingency Planning Checklist, which WCP have adapted with local contacts and useful links.
LGA & ADASS:
The LGA and ADASS have jointly published Social care resilience during Covid-19, guidance for Commissioners.
DIGITAL SOCIAL CARE:
DSC have issued some guidance on information governance and information sharing during Covid-19
NHSMail is now available to all adult care providers without having to complete the DSPT, Data Security Protection Toolkit, access will also include free access to Microsoft Teams, find out more.
ROYAL COLLEGE OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS:
RCOT have created advice on staying well when social distancing.
WILTSHIRE CENTRE FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING
Wiltshire CIL have Covid-19 resources and information for self employed Personal Assistants, they also have an online forum for registered PAs to offer peer support.
Guidance for employers and employees.
Altura Learning have produced a free training video explaining the Coronavirus and symptoms of the disease.
Grey Matter have produced free Coronavirus training.
E-Learning 4 Health have made their Coronavirus training programme available, you will need to register but access is not being restricted and you can register with any email.
