We are pleased to invite you to a special Members’ Workshop hosted by WCP.

This session will provide an opportunity for members to come together to discuss the current issues and challenges facing the care sector, share experiences, and explore practical solutions collaboratively.

The workshop will also give you the chance to meet the Care Association’s Chair, Dave Towells, the CEO, Jo Howes and the wider team, hear updates on current priorities, and contribute your views on how we can continue to strengthen support for members.

Time will be included to network with other members, creating stronger connections, more collaboration opportunities, and greater member engagement across the sector.

Agenda:

9.30am – Arrival

10am – Welcome from the Chair and CEO of WCP

10.15 – Understanding the landscape and issues of independent social care providers in 2026

• Locally – Current commissioning and tendering processes, hoe to prepare for tendering and market developments and expectations.
• Nationally – Cost pressures and workforce including staff working under a sponsorship.

11.45am – Member’s discussion forum

• Open discussion session for members to share experiences, challenges, best practice, and priorities for the coming year. Please use the below booking form to add your discussion items.

12.30pm – Meet the team

1pm – Networking lunch. Please let us know if you can stay to give an idea of numbers.
