In partnership with Wiltshire Council
The Wiltshire Care Partnership have launched a new recruitment campaign, Who Cares? in partnership with Wiltshire Council. The campaign aims to address staff shortages within the care sector by attracting people to begin a career in care.
The extensive advertising campaign launched on 4 July 2022. All carers featured in the campaign are real care staff working for care providers in Wiltshire.
The campaign is being managed by Salisbury-based marketing agency, blue bee.
What is the Wiltshire Care Partnership?
The Wiltshire Care Partnership (WCP) is a group of over 50 care providers based across Wiltshire, registered as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. The Partnership was established in 2012, supported by Wiltshire Council, to establish a provider-led forum to be the leading representative body for all adult care providers in the county.
The group includes domiciliary and residential care service providers – including independent providers.
WCP aims to achieve high quality, safe services for older people and adults with disabilities across Wiltshire.
What is the ‘Who Cares?’ campaign?
The Who Cares? campaign aims to showcase the amazing work that care workers do every day. It celebrates how care staff empower the people they care for and shines a light on the emotional rewards of a career in care. It aims to make new people consider a career in care.
The campaign is aimed at anyone who is looking for a new career, whether a young person at the beginning of their career or an experienced worker looking for a career change.
The campaign features real carers and clients in Wiltshire. The campaign shows the daily work of care staff – you’ll hear from people already in the care industry on why they love their job, plus clients on how care workers have an impact on their lives every day.
In addition to extensive advertising, the Who Cares? campaign also has a brand-new website, built by blue bee.
Why was the campaign launched?
Recruitment in the care industry has been under pressure for some years now and shows little sign of improvement. There have been many UK campaigns highlighting this issue recently, and the need for new carers across Wiltshire is no different.
To help combat this staff shortage, Wiltshire Council have provided a grant to the WCP to fund a recruitment drive across the county.
“We’re delighted to finally be launching the Who Cares? campaign after months of work behind the scenes. You’ll see the real people working in care across Wiltshire, and why a career in care is so rewarding. We’re hoping that the benefits of joining our sector will shine through and attract a wealth of new talent who hadn’t previously considered a career in care.”
